Week 4 - Numbers

This was really cute.  All of the kids were given a number to decorate, and we played "I spy" with the numbers.  Each kid got a turn.

We talked about the number 5.  I showed everyone that they have 5 fingers on each hand, and we did a craft using their hand print.  Then they played with sidewalk chalk outside.  The cute kids loved doing the paint and especially washing it off in the bowl.  I'm going to have to plan some water activities soon.

Week 3: Numbers

This week we mostly focused on St. Patrick's Day.  We made some St. Patrick's Day hats, and then Thursday we went on a treasure hunt outside to find our cloud dough.  Cloud dough is amazing.  They will play with it from 20-30 minutes, which is a long time for 2-4 year olds.  It's magical, and a huge mess, but so fun.

Week 2: Make-up week

This was a make up week.  We got to do out magic bubbles outside, which is one of my favorites!

Week 1: Numbers

One of our centers had duplo towers and cards to match!

We did an activity using play dough mats and numbers.

This week we were practicing our counting and numbers.  Everyone was so good at counting 1-10, and they were excited to show what they know.

Week 4: Hearts and Shapes

We did some decorating again since the snow day changed our activities last week.  All of these snow days!

The most recent snow day I think had the worst snow, but some of us were still able to carry on.  I was so glad to spend time with the kids who made it! We had a lot of fun to finish our PJ week.  Being cooped up inside all of the time has been hard on the kids with the weather.  It's nice when we can get out for a few minutes.

Week 3: Hearts and Shapes

We had a wonderful week!  We made friendship bracelets and played outside in the snow!  We will probably frost cookies again next week since we missed a few of our preschoolers.  I love this preschool group.  

Week 2: Hearts and Shapes

This week we talked more about shapes during singing time.  I taught the kids to make circles, triangles, and hearts with their hands.  This week was our craft week.  For our activity today, We made Valentines, and put them in their own take-home bags.  They loved the foam stickers.  The other day we decorated Valentines with glitter and played restaurant with Miss Jillian.  I really loved the books we read this week.
