Week 4: Hearts and Shapes

We did some decorating again since the snow day changed our activities last week.  All of these snow days!

The most recent snow day I think had the worst snow, but some of us were still able to carry on.  I was so glad to spend time with the kids who made it! We had a lot of fun to finish our PJ week.  Being cooped up inside all of the time has been hard on the kids with the weather.  It's nice when we can get out for a few minutes.

Week 3: Hearts and Shapes

We had a wonderful week!  We made friendship bracelets and played outside in the snow!  We will probably frost cookies again next week since we missed a few of our preschoolers.  I love this preschool group.  

Week 2: Hearts and Shapes

This week we talked more about shapes during singing time.  I taught the kids to make circles, triangles, and hearts with their hands.  This week was our craft week.  For our activity today, We made Valentines, and put them in their own take-home bags.  They loved the foam stickers.  The other day we decorated Valentines with glitter and played restaurant with Miss Jillian.  I really loved the books we read this week.

Week 1: Hearts and Shapes

This week we played restaurant and made Valentines "cookies" from play dough.  They love decorating their cookies with beads, and rolling out the play dough.  Restaurant was also a hit.  They practice matching the shapes of the felt food to the menu, and preparing dinners.  The role playing allowed them a lot of creativity, and understand the process how to prepare food better. Both Miss Jillian and I took turns being "visitors" at the Restaurant, while the cooks made everything.
